Born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1970 to André & Joan (and older brothers Henri-Jacques and Francois), Paul André Blom grew up with a love of movies and music. This led to him developing a drive to not only absorb as much of it as possible, but also to create it himself.

From the late 1980s he's been involved with various bands and personal musical projects (incl. V.O.D / Terminatryx / F8 / K.O.B.U.S.), has been a bilingual entertainment journalist covering movies, music & gaming since 1998 (published in local magazines & syndicated newspapers like The Star and SL, to international publications like Fangoria Magazine), makes movies (incl. production / directing / editing), created, designed & run several websites (Flamedrop.com / ShadowRealm Inc.), been involved with collaborative photographic projects (Desert Storm / Beautiful People), created & run several film festivals (South African HorrorFest / The X Fest), and created Flamedrop Productions in 2000 to encompass all of these and forthcoming activities.

Paul lives in Cape Town, South Africa with his wife and collaborator Sonja Ruppersberg, and their cat Ming.
